Faculty Preceptor

BCCC is seeking preceptors for future clinic sessions! Preceptors are welcome to sign up one or multiple clinic shifts. Preceptors will oversee 1-2 students (e.g. MD, DO, or PA) and OHSU residents in their professional field for the duration of clinic hours. 

Students are responsible for seeing patients and reporting history and physical exam to the preceptor. Together, the preceptor and the student will review the history and plan, prescribe, and refer as needed.

  • Due to liability insurance, Bridges can currently only accept OHSU attending physicians as preceptors.

Student Volunteer

Interested in working directly with under-served health populations? BCCC is seeking passionate clinic volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of our participants.

Watch our orientation video to learn more about different volunteer roles in our clinic.

  • We only accept current OHSU students from the Physician Assistant, Nursing, Dental, Pharmacy and MD programs to volunteer with Bridges. Incoming students should wait until they have officially started their program before reaching out.

  • Email a paragraph to bridgessrhclinic@ohsu.edu explaining your interest in volunteering for this specific clinic. Please be sure to share any information about your experience in the field of sexual and reproductive health. Please also include the school/program in which you are enrolled.

    Please complete the training modules found here on our website, which includes:

    • New Volunteer Training Introduction

    • Part 1: Cultural Humility & Assessment

    • Part 2: De-escalation Techniques and Assessment

    • Part 3: Motivational Interviewing and Assessment

    • Part 4a: Understanding Trauma, and Part 4b: Trauma Informed Oregon and Assessment

    • Part 5: Harm Reduction

    Completion of training materials will be checked on a monthly basis, and you will receive an email notifying you about completion at this time. Note: you will not receive an email confirmation directly after completing the quizzes, but rather at the end of the month. If you do not receive an email at least 6 weeks after completing training, please email trainingandedleaders@gmail.com
