About the Bud Clark Wound Clinic

The idea for a wound clinic at the Bud Clark Center was first proposed in 2021 to BCCC leadership after Bud Clark’s onsite social work team (Home Forward) noticed that many residents were struggling to obtain adequate treatment for their new and chronic wounds, often ending up hospitalized as a result. To address these healthcare gaps, the Bud Clark Wound Clinic was started by a group of OHSU/BCCC student leaders. The wound clinic hosted its first participants in May 2022 and has continued to operate monthly, providing care for residents of the Bud Clark Center.

    To provide wound care to residents of the Bud Clark Single Room Occupancy (SRO) in an effort to fill an identified gap in medical care.
