About the Wound Clinic

The idea for a wound clinic was first proposed in 2021 to BCCC leadership after Bud Clark’s onsite social work team (Home Forward) noticed that many residents were struggling to obtain adequate treatment for their new and chronic wounds, often ending up hospitalized as a result. To address these healthcare gaps, the Wound Clinic (previously in Bud Clark) was started by a group of OHSU/BCCC student leaders. The wound clinic hosted its first participants in May 2022 and has continued to operate monthly, providing care for residents of Bud Clark and walk-in patients in need.
The Wound Clinic is now located at Transitions Projects next door to Bud Clark.
